Thank you for registering to attend the Geotechnical Design for Underground Metalliferous Mines Hybrid Course, to be held online, and as an in-person event in Perth, Western Australia for delegates able to attend within COVID-19 restrictions.

Due to COVID-19, Australian borders are currently closed to all international travellers.

Online Attendees

Once registered, the ACG will send you the link to login to the online event.

The Australian Centre for Geomechanics, The University of Western Australia applies restrictions on recording the presentations of the Geotechnical Design for Underground Metalliferous Mines Hybrid Course being held 31 May-4 June 2021.  All unauthorised audio recording, video recording and photography or transmission of the ACG online event material, data or information is expressly prohibited.

The online presentations will not be recorded, and will not be available post-event. Similarly, transcripts of question and answer sessions will not be made available post-event.

 

System Requirements

The online version of this event will be hosted on Zoom. Please check prior to the course that you have access to Zoom and advise the ACG if you do not have access.

We encourage you to join the session 15 minutes early each day to enable adequate time to resolve potential technical issues with streaming prior to the course commencement.

If you have not previously used Zoom, please set up ahead of time; you can join a test meeting here. Zoom can be downloaded to your device of choice here.

Car Parking

The best locations for parking near the Oceans Institute are in Fairway Entrance Three, either to the left or right of the driveway. Park in the red staff areas, and see ACG staff at the registration desk for a parking permit to display on your dashboard. Please note, there are reserved bays within these parking areas so please avoid those.

Parking at the University can be scarce so we strongly recommend using public transport where possible. Click here for UWA parking map.

Uber and Ola are both available in Perth.

Laptops/Electronic Devices

You are welcome to bring your laptop or other electronic device with you, but this is not a requirement.

COVID-19

Please do not attend this event in-person if you feel unwell; you will still be able to participate via Zoom.
