Underground mining continues to progress at deeper levels and industry is now extracting mineral reserves at depth that previously would have been considered “un-minable”. Deep mining is a very technical and challenging environment.
The Seventh International Conference on Deep and High Stress Mining, held in Sudbury, Canada, brought together mining personnel, consultants and researchers from around the world to discuss and document their experiences in deep mining.
More than 300 mining professionals attended Deep Mining 2014. Attendees enjoyed presentations from people from around the world working in deep and high stress underground environments. These proceedings contain more than 60 technical papers on topics such as mine planning, ventilation, rock mechanics and deep mining case studies. This publication is only available as USB.
